Qatar Tourism officially launched the fourth edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards during a press conference held today, opening applications and inviting tourism and hospitality businesses, institutions, and professionals from across the sector to submit their entries.
The Qatar Tourism Awards is an initiative by Qatar Tourism, developed in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), to recognise individuals and businesses across Qatar’s tourism and hospitality sector for their outstanding contributions to service excellence.
Since its launch in 2023, the Awards have grown significantly in scale and impact, reflecting the continued development and competitiveness of Qatar’s tourism sector. Today, the programme serves as a leading platform for recognising excellence, encouraging innovation, and promoting continuous improvement across the industry.
This year, Qatar Tourism has expanded the Awards programme to welcome participation from a broader range of businesses and individuals across the tourism sector. Among the new additions is the Outstanding Qatar Vlog of the Year Award, introduced under the Digital Footprint category to recognise the growing influence of content creators and digital storytellers in showcasing Qatar’s tourism experiences and shaping destination perception among audiences locally, regionally, and internationally.

In line with its efforts to further enhance accessibility and improve the applicant experience, Qatar Tourism has launched a new Qatar Tourism Awards application portal developed in collaboration with Hayya Platform. The new platform offers a streamlined application journey, simplified profile creation, improved navigation, and enhanced user experience, enabling applicants to manage submissions more efficiently throughout the Awards cycle.
Applications will undergo an initial assessment conducted jointly by Qatar Tourism and UN Tourism, followed by a final evaluation by an independent panel of local and international experts. The panel members will be announced at a later stage to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the process.
To support prospective applicants, Qatar Tourism will organise a series of educational workshops throughout the application period, providing guidance on profile creation, registration requirements, submission criteria, and best practices for completing applications. Throughout the Awards cycle, applicants will also be able to access support and submit enquiries through Qatar Tourism’s existing 106 contact centre.
Applications will open on 17 June until 16 September. Winners of the fourth edition of the Qatar Tourism Awards will be announced at an official awards ceremony to be held later this year, as part of Qatar Tourism’s ongoing efforts to support excellence across the tourism sector and recognise impactful contributions that enhance Qatar’s position as a leading global tourism destination.
