As summer begins to ease and Doha slips into a more comfortable rhythm, September brings a packed calendar of entertainment, culture, sport, music and exhibitions. From international concerts and major sporting competitions to family experiences and cultural showcases, there is plenty happening across Qatar this month.

Family fun and new experiences

Families can make the most of the final days of ColorVerse Experience at Katara South Parking, running until 15 September, while gaming enthusiasts can head to Virtuocity at Doha Festival City for Virtuocity Battleground 2026, taking place throughout September.
At Fuwairit Kite Beach, Fuwairit Break runs from 9 September to 17 October, bringing family-friendly activities and beachside entertainment. For something a little different, The Jury Experience at U Venue, from 18 September to 23 October, puts audiences in the role of jurors, inviting them to examine evidence and decide the verdict.
Meanwhile, Mena W Fena arrives at AlHazm Outdoor Area from 24 September to 24 October, offering a showcase of distinctive Qatari products.

A month made for sports fans

September is equally exciting for sports lovers. Beat the Heat continues until 11 September, while Qatar Foundation hosts the FISU World University Championship Weightlifting 2026 from 8 to 12 September.
The Seashore Phoenix Games 2026 will bring male and female athletes together at Aspire Ladies Sports Hall from 9 to 14 September, followed by a series of international racket-sport events at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The Qterminals Qatar Classic Squash 2026 runs from 11 to 18 September, while the 1st Qatar Asian Junior Tournament 14 & Under takes place from 28 September to 3 October.

Art, heritage and culture take centre stage

September offers plenty for culture enthusiasts, too. The Qatar Event Show 2026 runs at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from 1 to 3 September, followed by the Doha Trade Fair until 5 September.
At the Museum of Islamic Art, Uzbekistan: Heritage in Motion and the Ektashif Uzbekistan Exhibition open on 3 September, continuing until 28 November. Katara Cultural Village also welcomes the tenth edition of S’hail – Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition, from 8 to 12 September.

Music and performing arts take over venues across Doha this month. The John Legend Concert arrives at Qatar National Convention Center on 10 September, while QPO Presents: Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 takes place on 14 September. Comedy fans can catch Saleh El Nawawy: Ghaibooba on 10 September, Taha Desouky on 17 September, and Feena Nehke? – John Achkar Live in Doha on 25 September.
The Qatar-Mexico Year of Culture: Sounds of Mexico on 18 September and Pink Floyd Legacy Live at Doha on 25 September add further international flair to the month’s programme.

Where business meets innovation

Qatar’s business and technology calendar is just as active. The Autonomous e-Mobility Forum 2026 takes place from 7 to 9 September, followed by the Google Cloud Summit Doha 2026 on 22 September. Fintech takes the spotlight at the Qatar Fintech Expo 2026, running on 29 and 30 September at Hilton Doha.

A stylish September finale

For those with an eye for fashion and luxury, the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2026 returns to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from 28 September to 3 October. AlHazm Galleria follows with the 9th Edition of Zinatha Exhibition, running from 30 September to 7 October.

With such a diverse line-up, September is shaping up to be one of the busiest months on Qatar’s events calendar. Whether you’re looking for a family day out, a major concert, sporting action, cultural discovery or a little retail therapy, there’s plenty of reason to get out and explore Qatar this month.
