Aisha Hussain Alfardan, Personal Advisor to the Chairman of Alfardan Corporation and Vice Chairwoman of the Qatari Businesswomen Association, represents a new generation of one of Qatar’s most established family businesses. Since joining Alfardan Corporation in 2003, she has played an active role in the family business while championing women in business and supporting emerging Qatari talent.
At DJWE 2026, Qreate caught up with Aisha at the Alfardan Jewellery Pavilion to talk about this year’s new additions, her family’s enduring connection to natural pearls and how a love of jewellery continues across generations.

Qreate: The Alfardan Pavilion has an even greater presence at DJWE this year. What can visitors look forward to discovering?

Aisha Alfardan: Alfardan Jewellery has introduced many new additions this year. From pearls to jewellery and watches, the pavilion is much bigger than in previous years. We have around five new brands at Alfardan, alongside new models and creations from some of our Qatari designers.
We also have two young Qatari female designers from the same family: Zohour Alfardan, with Lady Alfardan, and Noor Alfardan, with Noudar.

Qreate: Supporting Qatari talent is clearly important to Alfardan. What does it mean to see a new generation of local designers represented at the pavilion?

Aisha Alfardan: We are very happy to support and encourage Qatari designers. It is wonderful to see young Qatari women developing their own names and identities in jewellery.

Qreate: Your father, Hussain Ibrahim Alfardan, has a lifelong passion for fine jewellery. If you were to choose one exceptional piece for him, what would it be?

Aisha Alfardan: It is difficult to choose a gift for my father because he already has the best of everything. We would have to give him, as they say, the “cream of the cream”, the very best. There is hardly any jewel worthy enough.
But ultimately, pearls are his passion and his love. If I were to give him something, I would choose the most beautiful pearl we have.

Qreate: That appreciation for pearls continues with your daughters. How do their tastes in jewellery differ?

Aisha Alfardan: My daughters also love natural pearls; they absolutely adore them. They are different ages, so naturally their tastes are different.
My eldest daughter loves larger pieces and bigger pearls. She understands pearls very well, so she would naturally choose the best and largest pieces.
My younger daughter prefers jewellery for everyday wear. She likes pieces from Elyaka, which are more affordable and designed for daily use, pieces she can wear to school or when going out.
There is a difference in their tastes, and their preferences change with age.

For Aisha Alfardan, that difference is part of what keeps a legacy alive: an appreciation for jewellery and natural pearls passed from one generation to the next, while each finds its own way to wear and interpret it.
