The legendary Swiss Maison returned to the global stage, making its Qatar debut at DJWE 2026 with Blue Salon.
A new chapter
Universal Genève marked its highly anticipated worldwide relaunch at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2026, unveiling its renewed vision of watchmaking in Qatar with Blue Salon. The occasion was celebrated with a dedicated press conference, bringing the Maison’s heritage and future into focus.
Long celebrated for its distinctive timepieces, Universal Genève returns under its historic identity as “Le Couturier de la Montre” — the couturier of watches.
Couture meets horology
At the centre of the relaunch are the Couture Creations, exceptional timepieces that blur the line between fine jewellery and watchmaking. Inspired by the glamour of the 1950s, the collection combines precious metals, rare gemstones and intricate craftsmanship across four expressions: the Cabriolet, Dioramic, Disco Mini and Disco Maxi.
From emeralds and diamonds to opals, rubies and coloured sapphires, each creation transforms the watch into a sculptural statement.
Icons, reimagined
Alongside the couture pieces, the Signature Timepieces revisit celebrated Universal Genève designs with contemporary refinements. The Dioramic Signature Edition, first introduced in 1956, preserves its distinctive broad bezel and expressive proportions, while the Disco Volante Signature Edition draws from the rounded, lugless profile that inspired its “flying saucer” nickname.
Together, the collections connect Universal Genève’s storied past with a new era of watchmaking, where precision meets artistry and heritage is reinterpreted through a distinctly contemporary lens.
